The UPSHOT League officially tipped off its inaugural season this week, bringing professional women’s basketball to five markets across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. From the opening tip, the energy in every building made it clear this league is built to last.
"This is what we set out to build — pro basketball that belongs to its city," said a ZSE spokesperson. "The crowds, the atmosphere, the players — it all came together on opening night."
Each UPSHOT club is owned and operated under the ZSE umbrella, sharing a unified game-presentation playbook while keeping a distinct local identity. The league plays a 28-game regular season culminating in the UPSHOT Finals next spring.
